Amazon was founded in Valinhos, Brazil in 2002. The band's debut album "Victoria Regia" (Hellion Records - 2005), was very well received by press and public at the time and allowed Amazon to play important shows with Nightwish and Epica in Brazil. The band also supported well known Brazilian artists such as Shaaiman, Dr. Sin and Kiko Loureiro (from Angra), during the production of its second Album.

In 2010 the band's second album, "Nature's Last Ride”, was released. This album was produced independently and released online, with only a few promotional physical copies sold as merchandise on the band’s gigs. By then, Amazon was already a reference in the Brazilian Symphonic/Female Fronted metal scene.

Four years later, the band announces the release of its third studio album, the heaviest and angriest so far. As Sabrina and Renato currently live in Germany, the band is looking forward to releasing the album in Europe and working on the first ideas of their first European tour for the first half of 2015.
